Hard Feelsbrings a tactile twist to artist Brendan Fernandes’s ongoing exploration of body, space, and identity. Made by hand in the FWM Studio, these limited-edition rock sculptures are modeled after the artist's larger fabric boulders,Soft Touch IandII, which playfully reimagine heavy stone forms as soft objects.
Inspired by Fernandes’s choreography and conceptual dialogue with artist Scott Burton’s stone furniture, these miniature sculptures explore the tension between hardness and softness—both physically and metaphorically. Evoking themes of intimacy, queerness, and desire, each “pebble” invites contemplation and touch.
